About the project: 

Softjourn is looking for a Solution Architect with a good technical background, strong problem-solving and communication skills. SA will work closely with sales, PM and BA departments to facilitate the solution creation process for the new opportunities or support ongoing project teams with needed solutions.

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of senior level development experience;
  • 2-3 years of experience on Solution Architect position;
  • Experience with creating architecture definitions for complex projects;
  • Strong knowledge of the cloud services (AWS, Azure);
  • Strong problem-solving skills;
  • Understanding of DevOps tools and CI/CD processes;
  • Understanding of SDLC;
  • Good communication and leadership skills;
  • Business analysis skills;
  • Willing to learn and improve the finance and ticketing domain knowledge;
  • Advanced English level.

 

Will be a plus:

  • .Net development experience;
  • Experience with complex projects in production / enterprise projects (big scale);
  • Experience with Kafka and Kubernetes;
  • Experience with code audits;
  • Experience with tech sales activities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design the architecture and system components on a high level, consult existing projects, prepare architecture-specific documentation, make decisions around technical stack and infrastructure;
  • Communicate with sales and customers, prepare high-level WBS, identify risks and assumptions, facilitate estimation sessions;
  • Control the high-level architecture implementation, consult the team about solution requirements, tweak solution architecture on-the-go, participate in the communication with a customer;
  • Resolve disputes and make tradeoffs on different phases of a project, resolve business issues with technical solutions, interact with stakeholders to achieve common goals, verify escalations made by developers;
  • Identify opportunities in existing projects, assist with marketing technical articles, and discover trends in software;
  • Act as a midpoint between customer needs and development team, collaborate with BA department on solution requirements and during a project definition phase, collaborate with PM and sales;
  • Identify the need for an R&D project, lead R&D projects, assist R&D teams, develop POC projects, contribute to the company knowledgebase.
